Fun packed week!

11 March 2016

This week in literacy we started a discussion text about
Jack from Jack and the beans stalk story on whether Jack should be grounded or
not. We learned both sides of the argument and highlighted and listed words
that showed for and against the argument.

In maths we carried on learning about 3D shapes. We learned
their names, how many faces, vertices and edges they have. At the end week we
made our own 3D shape.

In topic we learned how animals adapt to their habitat. We
also painted leafs and printed them on paper for our rain forest performance
decoration at the end of the term. We also learnt about different muscles and which exercise to do to work them.

In swimming this week some of us learned how to swim with
our face in the water and how to safely jump into the pool standing from the
edge of the pool. Some of us had a race in the pool. This was very fun to
watch.

In Guided reading we did a comprehension about Jack and the
Beans Stalk. Answering questions about
the text. We also read books in class that miss Way brought where we picked
things that we liked and disliked about the books.
