The council also have an emergency fund; this is for people in crisis, for example if you have no money for food or fuel. You can apply for this here.
We also have a Parents' Voice group where you can find out about the latest developments, meet governors and raise concerns. The last meeting was on zoom on Tuesday 8th February. At this meeting Governors asked for opinions from parents about Headteacher recruitment. We also followed up on points raised at the November meeting, including actions the school has taken around improving behaviour in school. The notes from these meetings are below.
Bridging Gaps are a group of women from school from different backgrounds who are interested in sharing their culture and learning about other cultures. In the past they have run training to help people to be more culturally aware and more confident to speak to people from different backgrounds. Mums' fitness (in the sports hall) is on Monday mornings 9-10.
Mindfulness will run later in the year. Cooking will run as well, once the community room extension is completed.
The Hub library is open after school for families on Tuesdays and Fridays.
