Daily Tasks
Friday
There aren't any answers for yesterday's work - perhaps you could ask an adult to look at and check your work?
From now on, Fridays are going to be a little bit different.
We know you work hard on English and Maths all week so on Fridays we are now going to give you a more project-based task.
There will be a short video to watch and a choice of activities for you to complete. As always, we'd love to see what you produce!
So, for today....
Start by watching this video about the largest lizard on earth.
Choose what you would like to do from these activities. You can do however many you like.
- Using the facts from the video, make an information poster about a komodo dragon so someone else can learn about them from you.
- Research your own 'largest___?____ on earth' and create a factfile about it.
- Komodo dragons live in Indonesia. Find out more about this country and create a poster or information text about it.
- Work out the answer to this komodo dragon related maths problem:
An average komodo dragon can eat 72kg of meat in one meal. They usually only have a big meal like this once a month. Based on this information, how many kg of meat do komodo dragons eat in one year? How many kg of meat do they eat in 5 years? How many kg of meat do they eat in 10 years?
- Make your own beast using recycled materials you have at home. Your beast could be based on a komodo dragon or based on the one you created yesterday. Here's the one Miss Goldsack made at home:

- Can you make your picture have an odd number of corners?
- Can you make your picture have an even number of straight sides?
- What is the highest number of different 2D shapes you can use in your picture?

Don't forget to send us pictures of yourselves holding your pictures!
