Year 1 Visit the Zoo!

Year 1 have been to see the animals!

Year 1 visit the Zoo!

We enjoyed travelling back in time and climbing on board the World's First Great Ocean Liner.

EC class took a train journey to Bath to learn about the Great Western Railway! We wanted to find out what impact the railway had for people in Bristol in the past. We were excited to see Bristol Temple Meads train station and imagine what it would have looked like when it was first built. When we returned to school, we wrote diary entries, using our imaginations to write about taking a train journey in the past.

The children were asked to design and create a bridge just like Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Have a look at some of the fantastic bridges that were handed in on Monday. Mr Webster was so impressed he handed out special prizes for the best designs!

On top Bus Ride

We enjoyed climbing on board the Open Top Bus. The trip was linked to our topic, where we have been learning about Isambard Kingdom Brunel. We enjoyed looking around the City. Can you spot anything the great engineer created?
