This term Year 1 - Elmer and Gruffalo - went on an exciting trip to Blaise Castle Toy Museum.
We were very sensible, and had lots of fun walking around the museum, looking at some objects from the past.
A-Zaiah: 'do you know they didn't have electricity so they used fire for cooking!'
Yoonis: ' the toilet didn't flush! yuk!'
A learning experience on many levels....
After our exlpore, we then had a workshop with the lovely Jasmine, who showed us the different toys from the Victorian times.
The children explored the materials and mechanisms that made these toys work, and we especially loved the Jack in the Box.
