Changes to the start of the day

We are trialling a new approach to make sure that children have the calmest start to their learning. The first whistle will go at 8.40am and children can walk directly from the playground to their classrooms from this time. Teachers will have set up learning in the classrooms so children will be able to settle straight away to do this. Other adults will be around the school ensuring the movement is calm and welcoming children into school. The final whistle will go at 8.45 and any children still outside will then go in to join their class. Parents with urgent messages for the teacher will be able to pass these to the adults in the playground who will pass them on.
