Year 6, Week 7

18 May 2020

It's the end of term and here's your last week of learning before half term (and a possible return to school!) As ever, send your work in via Dojo or the school email address: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

THURSDAY UPDATE: Video explaining how Year 6 will return to school.

For today's maths, we'd like you to use a range of mathematical skills in solving the following maths mystery. Answer the questions, reveal the clues and find the culprit.

Year 6 – we’re at the end of our learning from home! Next week is half term and the week after we’re are hopefully back at school again (even though it will be very different)!

For some of us, Eid is tomorrow or Sunday! So, whether you’re celebrating or not, we want you to have a go at these Eid biscuits (click here for the recipe)! It’s a biscuit that can be adapted even if you’re not celebrating!

Over the weekend, send us a picture of your Eid biscuits, or any other baking or cooking you do over the weekend. For those celebrating, we’d love to also see what delicious food you made or ate and… Eid Mubarak!

Mr Rossetti has set another fantastic workout video for Year 6 at his very own Youtube Channel here

This week's creative task is learning a very cool origami trick! You will need to cut some square bits of paper up for this (it doesn't matter if they're not the colours shown in the video).

Click the image below (which will take you to Youtube) to check it out!

Class Dojo points

Don't forget, Dojo points will be awarded for fantastic work. Upload your work on Dojo, send photos of your work to our school email address:

This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Or to the school Twitter account: @HannahMorePri

You can earn Dojo points for excellent effort, perfect presentation, marvellous maths, exciting English and extra points for bonus activities and extra learning you've been doing too! There will be rewards when we're back at school for those of you who have collected enough Dojo points.

Weekly phone call

Mr Cook and Miss Skinner will be ringing round each child in Year 6 every Thursday afternoon. Your families will receive a phonecall between these hours from an unknown phone number. Please try your best to answer it! We'll talk to children to see how you're getting on with the work as well as talking to parents to see how things are going and offer what help we can provide.

    Hi Saed,
